Getting Started
This is something which not all sites offer and that is getting started with your own personal website in less than 5 seconds. When I started out as a newbie, I really wanted internet marketing to workout for me and this was the only legit way that I still follow the method to build a successful online business. The first step was building your own website.
It may sound a little overwhelming but that is how everyone starts in the beginning by taking one step at a time and within a few months your website would have scaled, so keeping that goal in mind you should build a website which would act as a strong foundation for your online business.
While starting out building a website might seem a little difficult so watch the video below and build your own website within for FREE. This is how I started off with my first website and hopefully, you could get started here as well. In the case you have any problems let me know in the comment section below and I would reply back as soon as possible.
Can you start your business with zero investment?
If you think that this is too good to be true then you are absolutely right! You do need to invest in a business and sometimes the more the investment the better are the results. In this case, you need to buy a domain if you are serious about starting your business. Buying a domain will cost around $10 per year, which is still less than what any other physical business would cost you.
So in comparison, online business costs really less compared to any physical business. All you need is to purchase a domain and if you want you could shift to a paid hosting where the costs depend on the type of hosting you buy. All you need to get started with a successful online business is a niche that sounds promising to you and some right training that would help you move forward at a faster pace.
What else once I have my own website?
Once you have your website set up you need start out by adding content to your website. Adding fresh content is the key to having a successful website. You can try all the social media marketing tips and tricks but creating a lot of content is the only way that you can ensure that you have traffic which is relevant to your niche.
Creating content regularly establishes a site trust with google which further helps in great SERP rankings. More quality content your site contains, better are your google rankings. So creating fresh content thrice a week or twice a week would immensely benefit your website.
If you do not want to write the content yourself then you can even outsource the work to sites like iWriter where you could get articles written by professionals starting from $1.25. Content writing is going to be difficult initially and it was not easy for me but after a month you just get used to it and start liking the entire process of research and creating content.
Once you have grown your site and have a considerable amount of content and matter then you would slowly see some traffic coming to your site and if the traffic converts then you successfully make a sale( if you are into affiliate marketing). Basically, once you have traffic on your site the next step is to monetize your website.
Ways to monetize your website!
There are many ways in which you could monetize your website and the ones that are most commonly used are listed below:
1. Affiliate Marketing
This the most commonly used technique to make money online and I have known people who make thousands of dollars per day using affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is a way of promoting products from amazon(it could be any site which has an affiliate program and is relevant to your niche) where when someone lands on your site and makes a purchase of the relevant products you promote on your site. When the person makes a purchase of that product then you make a commission on that purchase.
When you have a traffic of people that ranges from 1k-10k then it is possible that you would make a full-time income from that particular site. The important factor here is that you need to have relevant people on your site who are interested in the niche because they are the ones who are going to make a purchase.
Having a targeted traffic by creating posts using quality keywords and trying to help people as much as possible with product reviews is surely going to help you have a better chance at higher conversion rates. Imagine promoting a product which is worth $100 and having a 10 percent commission rate, now if you make 10 sales in a week then you can easily make $100 a week and that is when the website is starting out. Once you start making
Once you have enough traffic you would make around $100 every day and thus affiliate marketing is the one that has helped many people out there to make money online. Once you have your website set up then you can work on it once a month and maintain your site.
2. Selling Products
Once you have enough traffic then you can sell your own products which can be books or other commodities that help people. Selling products through your website would be one of the greatest ways to make money online since here you are making the entire profit and not just making commissions.
You can monetize your website using more than one way. You can go ahead and choose affiliate marketing and later on could possibly start selling your own products. It is totally up to you, you can monetize your websites in a number of ways and it would generate revenue if you have a quality website which is targeted to help out people within a targeted niche.
Selling ebooks, pdfs and other useful stuff is some common ways that we come across people who sell their own products online. So, if you have an idea of selling your own product online then do try out promoting it on your website and wait for the sales to get rolling.
3. Providing services
Providing services or something which you are good at doing would be another way to monetize your site. If you want to start some consulting services or want to provide some service which is unique and might help others then this could be another way to make money online.
Providing services is similar to selling your products and you would make the entire profit on each sale so if you have any plans to provide logo making, content writing or any other services which you are good at then you can use your website to promote your services.
4. Google Adsense
Placing ads on your website which when clicked on by your visitors will result in some earnings is another method of monetization. However, I do not recommend you to rely much on this method since you make very little money on each click and to have a substantial amount of earnings you need to generate thousands of traffic every single day.
There are a few people who get banned from Adsense for no reason and when that happens you would have no source of income from your website and might need to resort to other money making strategies.
What do you think which one is better, Affiliate Marketing or Google Adsense?
You can create your source of income by using any of these methods to monetize your website. This is how most of us create a full-time online income source and if you have 7 ways of monetizing your website then you would be creating 7 sources of income. So choose the monetization techniques carefully and try to maximize your profits.

I have always been interested in making my own website. Thanks for this great information. So what you are saying is a $10 domain will be way cheaper than running an actual physical business.
Sounds good to me. Where do I go to get a name and website? As well how do I get a good name for my site?
You can choose any name for you site, it totally depends on your niche and creativity. I buy domains from Namecheap since they are pretty good and I have not faced any serious issues from them anytime.
This is a really detailed post you have done on starting a website and you also make it look really easy.
I think this business model isn’t for everyone. For one I think you have to enjoy writing to do this as you will need to put articles on your website, unless of course you hire somebody to do it for you.
One would also need to treat your website as an ongoing business and keep working on it in order to keep it successful. It is still hard work, but at least enjoyable as you will ultimately be building a business for yourself.
Well aren’t you doing it everyday? You do go to college and work hard on your assignments and tests for around 4 years and then you sometimes are not even guaranteed a job. Unknowingly we do so many things that require a lot of effort and when it comes to making a huge income source online we start counting the number of days.
I too had the same attitude when I started out but then later I got used to writing articles and the niche which I worked on was interesting for me so yes, I did start making an online income. Once you put in the efforts initially the websites can run on autopilot generating passive income. I do not understand how you would not like that happening to yourself.
Hi Shrey!
This is awesome especially when you introduced the iWriter. I just started to learn affiliate marketing and I can say that the part that I struggled the most is the on the content creation. I’m still struggling with that and getting better everyday. But I would love to have as much contents as soon as possible to get ranked better in Google. So I’ll try that out. Thanks again!
Hey
I’m glad that you liked the recommendation. I personally like iWriter for several reasons and one of the major reasons include the fact that you can pay only if you like the content that has been written for you else you can cancel the article and get another one which meets your requirements.
Let me know, how iWriter works out in your case, since it was amazing for me to get articles written that way especially when I was too busy with other work or simply just out of ideas.
Hi there,
I have just read your post on affiliate marketing and I must say that I am impressed and I would safetly say that if anyone else had the good fortune to land on your site thay also would be overwhelmed with all the ways that you have outlined for them, how thay could start an online business, for little or no capital outlay and similarly with little or no experience in the online market. You have done a great job in explaining all the little details here for those who would be interested in starting up their own business.
Well done and congratulations.
Cheers……Philip Browne
I’m glad you liked the entire content Philip, however, I hope no one gets overwhelmed after reading this because they would have be by their side while building the website and anytime they can leave a comment if they have any doubts.
Hope more people read this and understand what it really takes to make a website work!
