You are building your website to help people and not to simply make money. Make sure that your content is relevant and helpful to people who come to your site in search of something related to your niche. Once you help someone with your content, you build trust and that will help you in building your site and it would make it authoritative as well.
Useful and interesting content with a hint of your own perspective will make your content really stand out from the rest of the websites in your niche. Many of the websites out there do not provide quality content which is loved by the search engines Google, Yahoo and Bing, so this should be a really great point to work on so that you can make your website much better than your competitors.
Making Use of visuals
Most of us like it when a website has clear images which are descriptive. Even I like content which has pictures that tell a lot about the content that is written. So, try making your post more visually appealing by adding relevant images and maybe infographics to sum up whatever you have explained in your post.
Most of the people just go through the heading and a few lines and have a nice look at your images. So try making the images as relevant to the topic as possible and maybe even add a few videos to make the page awesome. People should be interested in your content and come back to your website so do make it look great. Although, I must point out here that donot go overboard with the visuals just keep it pleasent and neutral.
Connecting with your visitors
You can have an about me page where you connect with your visitors on a personal level. Letting people know a few things about you helps them build more trust and you become more relatable through your posts and they feel more comfortable contacting you or asking you questions.
If they really connect with your website they might even trust you and buy some of the good quality products that you have recommended on your site which would further fetch you few sales. So connecting with people is way more important than you may think. You do not have a website to just make money, you are trying to help people as well and keeping that mindset is really important when you are writing content.
Your “about me” page will give your website a face and that will automatically build more trust and result in more traffic to your websites. According to me, your About me page should help your visitors connect with you on a personal level and you should consider it as one of the first pages that you need to create.
Mind your Language
You can create websites in any language and you could install a plugin which could translate your web page from one language to another. I have created websites only in English so I haven’t experienced actually creating a page in another language but I do have friends who have created websites in French and many other languages, so this should not be an issue.
You do not need to be an English Major to write articles in English as well. I’m not perfect in English but that does not stop me from communicating with my readers so neither should it stop you. People prefer an informal way of writing as it gives a personal touch to your content.
You can avoid grammar mistakes by using this wonderful tool called Grammarly which has saved my ass many times by helping me in proof reading my content. Your post can have one or two flaws, it is okay because at the end of the day we are all humans. Just make sure you have a stance in your opinion and know things about your niche very well because there you just cannot afford to make mistakes.
Have great content ideas- Google Alerts
You need to be ahead of everyone when it comes to having great content and on controversial topics can actually fetch you some free traffic on social media. All you need to do is log in to your Gmail account then add the topics for which you want to receive Google Alerts by going to their site.
Once you create an alert for the topics in your niche, you will receive updates and news every day on them which will keep you informed in your niche. This will definitely give you various new content ideas for your upcoming posts and also keep you updated in your own niche.
Alphabet soup technique
This is another technique you can use to actually get some ideas to write content for your website. If you have a niche on running shoes and want some ideas to create a post on it then go to Google search and type “running shoes a”, this would list all the titles which have running shoes and another word starting with the letter a which people have been searching for.
Then you can go on the same way with letter b, c,d… the list goes on. This technique will never let you run out of ideas for writing content and you will have enough titles to write content for a year in your niche. In any niche you can create a quality content, all you need to do is think out of the box.
Whenever I’m out of ideas for writing content I go to this technique and BAM!! I have more than at least 30 new titles which would last for while.
You need to time yourself, you need to work efficiently here without wasting time because writing content can be a pain in the butt. Initially, I wrote content every day and for at least 3-4 hours. It doesn’t end there, you need to do hours of research on your niche and the topic that you are going to write about specifically and only then will you be able to create a high-quality content.
Initially, all your posts are going to be a little naive , I mean all of us faced this when we started but it is okay. You will only improve with time and I honestly believe that your posts are going to be meatier than when you started off because with time your knowledge in your niche will just increase and it would only push you forward in creating content that converts.
Coming to timing, you can time yourself and your typing speed which will help you in time management. You can fix the number of hours you want to do research and the number of hours you want to invest in writing content.However, make sure you keep in mind that you have to produce quality content without time being the actual constraint(at least in the beginning).
How to use Keywords
This is important while writing content. You need to use keywords in the title but do not forget to use them within the first 160 characters in the beginning of your post. Once you use it in the beginning you can write your post without any worries about stuffing keywords.
Usage of keywords twice in the post is more than enough for your post to be SEO friendly and will help you get ranked for that particular keyword. Make sure to use long tailed keywords which are low competition and use them in the first 160 characters of your post and you are good to go.

Do not copy content
When you write a content you have to do some research online and you will include points which might be there on another website but your content should not be facts or information that is too mainstream or easily available on other sites. You can include points from there but do add your personal perspective as well. Adding a personal touch is what is going to make your site different.
Copying content will lead to bad rankings in Google and you even run the risk of having your website sandboxed which is another pain. Sandboxing of a website means that Google will not consider it for rankings. So , save yourself from the unnecessary drama and try creating some original content because that will help your online business in the long run. People love to see something different and fresh, so the copy paste work isn’t really going to help here, LOL.
Having a Publishing Schedule
It is important to have a fixed schedule to publish your posts. You need to be realistic and fix a routine where you post on say fixed days like every Mondays and Fridays at 6:00 pm. Fix a timing schedule and post according to it, you need not worry about posting 5 days a week or every day, I mean be realistic, not all of us can post every day, so having a fixed schedule where you post once a week is much better than irregular posting.
When you post regularly Google Bots know when to crawl to your website in search of fresh content. So having a fixed schedule does work when it comes to ranking your pages. You can write your posts and schedule them to be posted on later dates as this helps you to stay ahead of time and in the case you fall sick or can’t write a post for a week your rankings won’t suffer because of the scheduled posts which act like a backup.
