Appen provides with full-time and part-time job opportunities that can help you make money. The work need not be a full-time job but can be on a contract basis and once you complete the job, you are going to be paid on their platform.
One of the famous part-time jobs by Appen is the Social Media Evaluator, however, there are not many such opportunities so if you are looking for such jobs then you might want to keep your options open as it may or may not be available.
Appen is usually going to just act as a mediator in order to provide you contracts and once you take up a job you would be paid hourly according to the rates of the work being assigned to you.
The whole platform is designed in a way that you can have access to different jobs and get a work from home job in order to make some money online is no different.

1. It is a website that is free to join and very easy to look around for jobs.

2. The pay per hour for the job is really low. This way you would not be making much for every hour that you spend working. This was one of the major reason that I was not fond of the website as according to me the time you spend is way more than what you get paid for making it a sad affair.
Would I recommend Appen to anyone?
You can give a try with the website but most of the time I found it difficult to get a job and if you want one then you have to be aware of at all the opportunities on this website.
Once you get an assignment you would be paid per hour and even the money that you are paid is less and will not help you make a full-time income which makes me realize that the whole website can prove to be a waste of your time.
If you want to give it a go then you definitely can but if you are not that sure about being persistent in getting contracts then you should definitely try to look out for other opportunities where you can make money easily from home without having to always be dependent on a company giving you an assignment or hiring you for a given period of time.
Conclusion
Appen is good if you get a part-time job, however, the pay is really less and you are not always going to get the kind of jobs that you like, so if you are looking at Appen as a way of making a full-time income from home then that might not be possible.
Most of the jobs found on the website require very basic skill hence they can be done by most of the people from the comfort of their homes. However, something that you might want to think about is that the competition for such jobs is high.
